Snow Bark comes hand dyed onto a merino silk yarn base.  The background is a soft cream them many shades of green have been speckled on top giving the effect of tree bark coming up from a snowy ground.
 
Merino silk yarn is silky soft, beautiful to work with, and luxurious is wear.  Your hand made garments will have a soft drape, perfect for shawls and wraps, but just as lovely in cardigans and jerseys, as the drape will not alter the shape or size. 
 
This yarn base has been created using 85% super soft merino with 15% silk added resulting in a gorgeous lustre yarn.
 
Approx 100gms/400m per hank.
 
Recommended needle size is 2.5mm - 3.25mm depending on tension required.
 
This yarn can be washed in a machine on a gentle cycle in cool to warm water and a mild detergent.  Pull your garment gently back into shape, Dry flat on a towel in the shade to maintain original colour.  Always store your precious hand made garments rolled or folded flat to maintain shape and size
